Genre Research: Nobody

 Movie Convention Research: Nobody

  • ·       Common camera angles include over the shoulder, close-up, long shot, tracking shot, two shot, and three shot. Some of the common camera movements include close ups, tracking ,and panning
  • ·       The costumes consisted of more solid and muted colors. A lot of the characters where wearing solid shirts, shorts, and jackets. Some of the “bad” characters in the movie where wearing leather jackets. Nobody started off with cooler colors and as the movie went on, the palette changed to warmer tones. The lighting in the beginning of the movie started off very dull and muted in colors, and as the movie kept going, more and more vibrant colors were being added. There were also a lot of fighting scenes that included silhouettes and the use of shadows to help create that tension that is usually in thriller movies. Since this movie included a lot of action and fighting scenes the most common make up included scars, bruises, blood, and scratches. Some props used throughout the movie included guns, money, radios, cellphones, and other weapons. The setting of the movie was in Winnipeg, Canada.
  • ·       There was a lot of sound effects in this movie to match the action that was going on. There was also non diegetic sound or parts of the movie where no music would be playing, which adds a lot of tension and suspense. There was also examples of diegetic  sound such as gun shots and breaking glass.
  • ·       Some common editing that was found in this movie was fast cuts. There were also shots that were in slow motion. Other common editing techniques include cross cutting, eye line match, and jump cuts.
  • ·       Some common elements include cliff hangers, military/spy, and action
  • ·       Some elements of the movie that I liked included suspense or things such as cliff hangers. I feel that this is a good way for the audience to be intrigued and entertained.
  • ·       Some elements that I would not want to include are things such as guns, or the undercover spy stuff, or anything that isn’t true. Basically, I would want to make it something that could happen in real life.
