Change of Plans

   After our roles had been switched (which I forgot to clarify in my last blog), plans to film had been set in stone for today. Unfortunately, that did not end up happening. This past weekend's weather has been horrendous. It hasn't been this bad in a long time. So today's weather just wasn't ideal for filming. To go over the switching of roles situation, I was originally supposed to play the "dead girl", while Camille was supposed to play the other main best friend along with Kaitlyn. We eventually decided to change the roles, mainly because it would be more convenient. Like I said in the last blog, Camille lives pretty far from Kaitlyn and I. So, It would be really difficult to find ideal times to film, especially since we all usually have activities after school. I wasn't really fond with the idea of having to switch roles, but agreed seeing as to how it was the best option. I still kept the same name though, so we had to make some adjustments to the script. That was a pretty simple thing to do. I'm just relieved we were able to make this decision so early on. It would have made it even more difficult if we waited any longer before we realized this was the simpler choice to make. Anyways, I am a bit disappointed we couldn't film today. Although a gloomy sky isn't much of a problem, the strong winds is what really stunted our plans.It would only mess with our audio a lot and create issues. Seeing that we don't have professional microphones or anything, we can't have to many things blocking out our film dialog. We don't have the right equipment to film in these kind of conditions. This wouldn't be as much of a problem if we were filming inside. But the scenes we were planning on filming were the scenes with Lauren as the news reporter, which need to be outside. This was also too last minute to arrange plans to film any other scene. So hopefully this shouldn't stunt our progress too far back. We still have plenty of days and opportunities to film so I think we'll be just fine.
