Intro Blog

My name is Sofia, and welcome back to my blog! I'm in 11th grade now and I am 17 years old. Again, I'm taking this class mainly because I know it is a good class to have under your belt for college, and the course itself seemed pretty interesting. I do only one sport, which is swimming; I do year-round club swimming for my city and I also am on my school's swim team. I've also really gotten into water polo after joining the team last year. In all honesty, I don't get much free time, but when I do, I enjoy reading, watching Netflix, and doing things with my friends and my dog Loui. I don't have a favorite movie, but I am a HUGE MCU fan, so I consider all marvel movies my favorite movies. As for my dog Loui, he is the cutest thing in the world. He's a white Maltese, and I don't know what I would do without him (his birthday is on Halloween). I'm actually allergic to dogs, but I'm completely okay with getting allergies a couple times a week if it means we get to keep him. He was the only thing keeping me company during quarantine 2 years ago with online school. Online was a bit tough due to the drastic change in regular school procedures, but I was able to get through it, and it was all thanks to him. Anyway, I am really excited for this school year, mainly because I'm finally an upperclassmen (and hopefully will start driving soon). Mostly, I need to better improve my work ethic. In the past couple years, procrastination has been a huge problem for me. It felt so easy to get distracted; to forget about school and act like it wasn't a big deal. This year, I plan on getting a better handle on my ability to focus and get things done in time. I am truly looking forward to this class. It feels good to have things somewhat back to normal. I hope that things only get better from here on out. I genuinely enjoy going to my classes and getting things done. It makes me feel like I've taken back control of my life, and I intend to make the most out of it.
